JOB DESCRIPTION: INSTRUCTIONAL COACH
SALARY SCHEDULE: CERTIFIED TEACHER SCHEDULE

POSITION SUMMARY:
To improve teacher instructional practices in all disciplines while supporting student achievement.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate
- Ability to design and deliver quality professional development for teachers
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates teachers’ understanding and implementation of the Oklahoma Academic Standards
- Facilitates teachers’ understanding of the Mid-Del teacher evaluation elements and process
- Develops teachers’ capacity to collect and analyze multiple sources of data to improve student learning
- Creates detailed coaching plans that include focused goals and measures of success while providing direct and ongoing feedback to achieve goals
- Studies to become an expert in district initiatives and leads professional development workshops for sites, district, and professional conferences as needed
- Tracks student progress to assess the effectiveness of teaching, learning, and coaching following state compliance with the Reading Sufficiency Act.
- Maintains all site Title I budgets and purchases; including tutor time sheets, stipends, quotes from vendors, bids and requisitions, inventory, and justification of purchases aligned to the Title I school-wide plan
- Executes and collaborates with administrators on the Title I school-wide plan.
- Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
