JOB TITLE: TEACHER ASSISTANT/HEALTH STATION MONITOR SALARY LEVEL: MDTC SALARY SCHEDULE BB-T DEPARTMENT: SUPPORT STAFF REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF INSTRUCTION
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all duties assigned to the Health Station and provides assistance in the classroom, as needed. This position requires impeccable attendance and commitment to the safety and education of our students, faculty and staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Monitors MDTC Health Station Daily 2. Responsible for monitoring the screening of students, faculty, staff and visitors/patrons entering the building. 3. Performs general duties as assigned, such as computer data entry. 4. Will assist in classrooms or office areas, as needed. 5. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by administrator.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
